Get ready for your motorcycle first aid course with Territory Motorcycle Training
Get ready for our Motorcycle First Aid Course this Saturday, delivered in partnership with St John NT.
We’re really excited for this one. It’s the third time we’ve run this course and it has completely booked out! It’ll be a great community of riders and trainers coming together to make it an awesome event!
This page contains your pre-course instructions. Please give it a proper read so we can throttle through things smoothly!
We would like to give a massive thanks to our friends at St John NT and the NT Government Road Safety Grant Program for backing this course and making it possible for everyone to attend free of charge.
Time
3 PM to 7:30 PM, Saturday 9th May 2026
We recommend rolling in 10 minutes early to give yourself time to park, sign on, get caffeinated and settled before we fire up the ignition!
Location
Territory Motorcycle Training, 19 Georgina Crescent, Yarrawonga (just up the road from Gateway Shopping Centre)
You’ll see our sign out front. Parking is available on site with ample on-street overflow. Motorcycles get VIP parking, naturally!
What to bring
Wear comfortable, cool clothing that allows movement (yes, there will be CPR!) and enclosed shoes.
We have facilities available if you’d like to change out of riding gear when you arrive.
Bring a drink bottle and stay on top of your hydration. We have a cold water bottle refill available. Some parts of the course are in the classroom, but the practical sessions in the shed can warm up.
We’ll have tea, coffee and light refreshments available. If you want something more substantial, feel free to bring your own refreshments, as there will be planned breaks. We have refrigeration and kitchen facilities on site. There are also plenty of good options nearby at Gateway and surrounds, if you want to duck out and grab something.
St John will have motorcycle first aid kits available for sale. If you don’t already carry one on your bike, we strongly recommend grabbing one. It’s one of those small additions that can make a big difference in critical moments.
What to expect
This is a hands on course built around real world motorcycle scenarios.
You’ll work through simulated crash scenes, practical first aid responses and decision making under pressure, guided by an experienced team.
The goal is simple. To give you the confidence and skills to step in and if something goes sideways on a ride.
Wellbeing
Some scenarios are designed to feel realistic and may be confronting.
If you need to pull over and take a breather at any point, that is completely fine. Just let one of the team know. We’re here to support you.
If you feel affected by any of the scenarios, support is available through Lifeline Australia (13 11 14).
You are also welcome to debrief with team members during the course, should you need.
Site safety
In addition to our training space, we run a professional mechanical workshop on site. Please respect any signed staff only or no entry areas.
Smoking and vaping are not permitted on site. There is a designated area out front, on the shaded footpath.
If we need to evacuate for any unlikely reason, our muster point is on the front footpath. Exits are clearly marked.
Thanks again for coming along and making this a great event. It’s going to be an epic course and we can’t wait to see you there!
