Eligibility: The competition is open to residents of the Northern Territory (Australia), aged 18 years or over at the time of entry.

Competition Period: The competition begins at 8:00AM AM ACST on 6 January 2025, and ends at 11:59 PM ACST on 19 January 2025.

Entry Requirements: To enter, participants must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Follow Territory Motorcycle Training on Facebook.
  • Share the designated competition post on Facebook, with @territorymotorcycletraining tagged, accompanied by a written explanation in 40 words or less, stating why the entrant would like to win a free motorcycle licence course with Territory Motorcycle Training
  • Entrants failing to meet all of the above requirements will be disqualified.
  • Strictly one entry per person, irrespective of the number of reposts or shares.

Prize Details, Exclusions and Limitations: The prize is a place in a small group pre-Learner or pre-Provisional/Restricted motorcycle licence course with Territory Motorcycle Training, as listed on the territorymotorcycletraining.com website (valued at $330AUD RRP inclusive of all taxes and booking fees). The prize is inclusive of bike and helmet hire.

The winner is responsible for arranging and covering the cost of any incidental expenses not explicitly mentioned as part of the prize, including travel to attend the course in Darwin, any licence fees payable to the regulator (MVR), administrative processes and theory testing required by the regulator (MVR) including associated fees. Territory Motorcycle Training provides no guarantees or promises about a winner's course assessment outcome, or eligibility to receive a licensing outcome with the MVR. By entering the competition, the entrant confirms that they have the physical capabilities to engage in motorcycling.

The prize cannot be exchanged for another product or service and cannot be redeemed for cash or credit under any circumstances. The prize cannot be transferred to another person other than the entrant, to whom the account of the entry post belongs. The prize cannot be transferred to another location or provider and must be redeemed before the expiry date. No rainchecks. The prize entitles the winner to receive one free group licence course.

Prize expiry: The prize is valid for 6 months from the date of the prize draw. A prize not used within the valid period will be forfeited by the winner and voided.

Redeeming a prize: Upon contact with the winner, a Territory Motorcycle Training representative will arrange a suitable booking time with the winner and process the booking manually. A prize booking cannot be processed online. Bookings are subject to availability and bound by the Territory Motorcycle Training cancelation policy. Territory Motorcycle Training makes no guarantees as to availability of preferred course dates or times.

Winner Selection: Three winners will be selected from all eligible entries received during the competition period, via a judging process. One prize is to be awarded per winner. Judging will take place on 20 January 2025, and winners will be notified via direct message on Facebook within 24 hours of selection. If a winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 7 days of notification, Territory Motorcycle Training reserves the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner. 

Judging Process: Entries ("submissions") will be collated based on the use of the @territorymotorcycletraining tag on Facebook. Entrants are responsible to ensure their profile privacy settings allow judges to access their shared content with the @territorymotorcycletraining tag, to enable viewing and judging of the entry. Only submissions meeting all Entry Requirements will be considered. Judges will evaluate entries based on originality and relevance to the theme.

Publicity and Use of Entries: By entering the competition, participants agree that Territory Motorcycle Training may use their entry for promotional purposes, including but not limited to, sharing on social media and marketing materials. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current Australian data protection legislation and the current Territory Motorcycle Training Privacy Policy.

Liability: Territory Motorcycle Training and its constituents shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever, including but not limited to personal injury, financial loss, and/or any other liability that may arise out of the participant’s acceptance or use of the prize.

General Terms: Territory Motorcycle Training reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, Act of God, or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter. Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Governing Law: The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by Australian law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive and relevant jurisdiction of the courts of the Northern Territory of Australia.
